Community Shuttle Service

The Isabella County Transportation Commission’s I-Ride service operates four timed-stop bus lines that provide rides for apartment complex residents to and from Central Michigan University, and serve CMU faculty, staff and on-campus residents, as well as, those in the Mt. Pleasant community. Partners in providing this service are the apartment complexes, Central Michigan University and the city of Mt. Pleasant. Service is prepaid for apartment residents by their respective complexes and for CMU students, faculty and staff by Central Michigan University. All yellow bus stops, prepaid by the apartment complexes and CMU, are fare free when boarding.

I-Ride community shuttles provide access for all riders to downtown Mt. Pleasant, Central Michigan University, Mid Michigan Community College and retail areas on both the south and north end of Mt. Pleasant, including Meijer and Walmart. These shuttles connect passengers with most education, banking, dining, retail and government services in Mt. Pleasant. Travel to or from locations marked with a black triangle indicate stops where fares are collected both coming and going. A $1 one-way fare applies to all of these Fare Stops.

The schedule of each shuttle is presented in a format for easy printing. The I-Ride shuttles consist of the four following bus lines;

WestPoint Village Apartments, Deerfield Village Apartments, Lexington Ridge Apartments and CMU

Southpoint, Tallgrass Apartments, Village at Bluegrass, and CMU

University Meadows Apartments, Union Square Apartments, Walmart, CMU, downtown Mt. Pleasant, MMCC Doan Center and Meijer.

Towers (at 7/11), Kewadin Village, Copper Beech, Jamestown, and CMU.

The Community Shuttle service operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM, serving each stop every half hour. For apartment complex residents there is a late-night pick-up from the CMU Park Library to all complexes at 10:30 PM.

All shuttles stop at CMU in Lot #33, by the Music Building. See accompanying map for the shuttles to locate bus stops. These shuttles operate on this schedule during fall and spring semesters, from the end of August until the first week in May, matching the CMU semesters.
